Privacy Policy

Last Updated: April 2026

1. The Short Version

We respect your privacy. Rust Forge does not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party analytics. We do not track your browsing behavior across the internet, and we do not sell your personal data.

2. What Data We Collect (And Why)

Because this is a functioning web application, we process a minimal amount of data necessary to keep the site secure and operational:

  • Server Logs (IP Addresses): When you visit the site, our web server temporarily logs your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. This is standard for all web servers and is strictly used to monitor for malicious bot activity, prevent DDoS attacks, and ensure network security. This processing is based on our Legitimate Interest under the GDPR. Logs are automatically rotated and deleted after 7 days.
  • Code Execution: When you use the "Playground" feature, the code you type is sent to our execution API. This code is processed in a temporary, isolated environment and is returned to you. We do not permanently store your code, nor do we link it to your personal identity.

3. Cookies

This website is completely cookie-free. We do not store any tracking files on your device.

4. Your GDPR Rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data. Because we do not store accounts, emails, or persistent tracking profiles, we generally have no personal data to provide or delete aside from temporary, anonymized server security logs.
